Clare, took matters into her own hands when she discovered her then 10 year old son Oisín was struggling with reading by devising a web-based game based on the ancient Irish myth of Grainuaile that would help treat the problem. Now, just over a year later and after winning picking up a start-up business award from Limerick Institute of Technology worth €80,000 earlier this year, the fun-based e-learning game has been launched for the Christmas market. The game is available on a free 7-day trial on www.readingbridges.com and one of its key advantages is that it gives parents/teachers access to progress reports from their child’s use of the game.
