A young boy travelling for 10 days through the mountains of the Karnali District North West Nepal brings rice by goat back through the town of Jumla.He is on a 10 day trek from Cubra to Luma .Late snows last year caused most of the rice harvest in the valley to be destroyed cauing extreme poverty and hunger in the area.These goat herders from Luma hiked for 5 days to Cubra to buy rice for their villages and then Hiked back for 5 days with their cherished goods.Concern Worlwide have set up an agency in the capital Kathmandu to help the poorest of people to help themselves by training and education.Food Security and Health and Sanitation are two of the biggest problems facing these mountain people.Pic Arthur Ellis/Press 22.
